RandomKid's International Random RockStar
Hall of Fame
These kids come from all walks of life, from all parts of the globe. They have one thing in common: They wanted to use their abilities to help others. Random Reading RockStars:
Mrs. Pinto's Reading group from P.S. 98 in Douglaston, Queens, NY
These kids prove that READING ROCKS!! As part of their school curriculum, they read about the kids in CA and IA (below) doing the RandomKid Water Project and told their teacher, "we need to take action!" They didn't mess around. In just two weeks they had branded their water, "Sip & Save a Life" and they sold almost 2000 bottles in just 3-4 weeks! They have been dubbed the "Sip and Save a Life Super Seven"! And they've brought us even closer to our goal of funding a pump that will bring clean safe water to a parched community in Africa. Click here to read more about them.

Random RockStars: Ms. Calleja's Class at Portola Elementary School in
San Bruno, CA!!
These kids TOTALLY ROCK! They wrote their own book about an African community transformed by a clean, safe water after a special water pump was installed. Then they hooked up with RandomKid and joined the water project. By joining their efforts with other schools through RandomKid and selling A LOT of their own brand of water, they were able to fund a pump in South Africa in just a few months! Read more about them here.

Random RockStars: Mrs. Konrad's Class at The Academy in Des Moines, IA!!!
These kids take "service projects" to a whole new level! When Mrs. Konrad wanted to come up with a great service project idea for her class, she reached out to RandomKid. Her third graders became social entrepreneurs embarking on a lifechanging mission: Ease Thirst Around the Earth. They came up with their own unique water business, and then collaborated with other schools, ultimately pooling their funds, to be able to buy a pump faster, and help people sooner. They've sold thousands of bottles of water, and they're only just getting started. Click here to read more about these amazing kids!

Inspired by her recent tour of the gulf, Shelby is designing a new program with RandomKid to build a home in the MS Gulf Coast.

RandomKid CEO and Original Random Rockstar, Talia
Talia is a RandomKid (and now Random RockStar!) from Iowa who had an idea to trick-or-treat for hurricane relief. It started as a neighborhoood thing, then grew regionally, then nationally. With no money and no connections, Talia managed to unite kids across the USA for hurricane relief, having raised over $10 million dollars so far, and she's still going! What does it mean to be a RandomRockstar? Here at RandomKid, we believe each and every child has a cool-ness factor within their hearts. It's that thing that makes them smile at another person or lend a helping hand to someone... it's that innate goodness. That is worth celebrating! If you'd like a shot at being our next Random RockStar, please register with us by clicking on the RandomRegistration form and start working toward a better tomorrow-- today!
What's the catch? You do NOT have to be some big-shot who has already achieved great things. You just need to be you!!! AND you need to be a registered RandomKid so we have a way of contacting your parents, getting their permission, and then work to help you achieve your goals to help others. Who knows? You might just be our next Hall-of-Famer!
If it's not a contest, then how am I selected? It's fairly random. You see, when you register as a RandomKid, we add your goals for a better tomorrow to a list that goes out to our RandomBenefactors. If something on your registration comes across the right person who can help, you may just be our next RandomRockStar!
Why do this? In celebrating children for their unique RandomNess, there's no better way than to pick a RandomKid and make a big deal out of him or her. That way, any RandomKid can think, "I could be next," "That could be me," "I am worth celebrating!"
